Disney Vacation, Day 6

Day 6 of our Disney Vacation, Magic Kingdom.

We got up early packed our lunches and arrived at Magic Kingdom around 10 a.m. We had a long fun-filled day at this park. We left and arrived back at the van after midnight. The girls were troopers all through it. We weren't able to experience everything, but we did everything time would allow us to do. Here are some highlights of our day at the "Happiest Place on Earth."

We began our journey at the Buzz Light year ride. Here Landon and Carter are ready to take aim.

The girls and I were captured by the evil Dr. Zurg. (But we escaped because Landon cut his head off, Ha! Ha!)

After we watched the parade we got in line to get one of the most important autographs. Ariel, and Prince Eric too! It is soo funny to watch how these "actors" interact. They never break character. Ariel spotted someone she knew and ran up to them with Eric in tow, all while staying in character.

We rode some rides and then it was time to head over to Space Mountain, because we had fast passes. When we got up there Carter was too little, so I stayed off with her. While we were waiting I decided it was a good time to get their Mickey Ears! I wanted the ones that you could get embroidered. There are only two locations in the whole park to get those. So we handed some kids our fast passes and left a note for the rest of the family where to find us. Then Carter and I set off for the "ears." The place that had them also had character autographs. There were some princesses and fairies. The princesses line was 60 minutes and the fairies 90 minutes. But hey it was in an air-conditioned building! While I was in line getting the "ears," the rest of the family joined us. Mom and the girls got in Princesses Line, while Landon got in the Fairies Line. (What a great dad) Believe me it was worth the wait. The girls were soo excited!

The Fairies room was really cool. They take four families at a time, where you walk down a hall while pixie dust surrounds you and you start to shrink. All of the animals, trees and flowers seem so huge when your the size of a fairy! Then you enter the room where Silver Mist, Rosetta, and Tinker Bell are.

Then the we stood in yet another line for an autograph. During this one they showed old cartoons , so at least you were entertained. This autograph was the most important one ever. All four of us had to get our pictures taken!
Mickey and Minnie Mouse!

Me and the girls at Cinderella's castle.

We rode my mom's favorite ride, It's a Small World!

We also caught a 3-D movie, with Donald Duck, Fantasia!

Carter on the carousel.

We finally got to see some fireworks!

While the four of us watched the firework show, mom and dad went to the Presidential Museum. We met them there afterward. We took the girls inside and took a picture of them with their President.

Carter with Jimmy Carter

Reagan with Ronald Reagan

Then the four of us found a spot right outside to sit and wait for the Electric Parade to start. Mom and Dad went and turned in the scooter and headed to the car. We had a little snack and watched the parade.

That ended our day at the wonderful Magic Kingdom. We were exhausted but it was all worth it, just to experience this day with our beautiful little girls.

  1. Aw, I'm so glad you took so many good pictures and are documenting this for all of us to see. How cool to get their pictures with the Hall of Presidents. And Mickey and Minnie! Just awesome.
